Germany Preview Tour

Join Music Celebrations International and Faith Journeys for an incredible Preview Tour of Germany! In advance of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017, we’ll be visiting sites so important to the life of Martin Luther and his historic movement. You’ll walk away from this tour with a greater understanding of this country’s rich musical, historical, and religious history. There is no better opportunity to become familiar with the highlights of a German concert or pilgrimage tour than this experience. In addition, this will be an unparalleled opportunity for choir directors to visit locations pertinent to the Luther 2017 Choral Festival and return home with a wealth of knowledge about the event before their choir’s participation.

Highlights include:

Cruising the River Spree in the middle of Berlin taking in sights such as the Berlin Wall, the Neues Museum

Exploring Wittenberg, where Luther lived and nailed his “95 Theses” to the doors of Schlosskirche

Visiting Erfurt where Luther lived as an Augustinian Monk

Seeing Wartburg Castle, where Luther translated the Bible into German
